As a Line Supervisor – Bags, you will manage available resources in the safest and most efficient way possible based on the weekly production plan. You will also supervise and coordinate the work of employees on assembly lines, prepare work schedules, assign tasks, and oversee the quality of work produced. Additionally, you will ensure that operations and employees follow proper policies and procedures.
what you will be doing
- Production Management
- Make sure the production line runs smoothly, People and Production need to balance
- Prioritize urgent items based on urgent PO or shipment, all items in WIP are under control and the exact amount is known
- Assist in reviewing, monitoring, and determining piece rate for employee
- Make sure input/output is under control, recording, and reporting
- Job management, control first in first out, update Job Management on glass board
- Make sure scrap reduction and scrap rate are improved
- Employee Management
- Responsible for assigning tasks, coaching, helping staff do their jobs properly, and ensuring they will get the right training and instructions. 100% responsible for the performance of their direct reports
- Assist in the development and execution of new policies and procedures for the production department
- Cooperate with employees to plan overtime work if necessary
- Measure and report the effectiveness of warehousing activities and employee’s performance
- Determine staffing levels and assign workload
- Attendant Record and Reporting every morning
- Reliable Data and KPI Report
- Make sure all data is recorded on time and accurate
- Update all data up to date
- When presenting a KPI report, all reports must be accurate and reasonable
- Show the report of BCC date and time checking (number of checks, number of problems found)
- Communication
- Interface with Team to answer questions or solve problems
- Problem Reporting and Solving on time with employees and relevant department
- Confers with heads of other departments to ensure coordination of screen printing with activities, such as sample printing, screen making, color mixing, inspecting
- Improvement
- Pursue continuous improvement, make sure improvement never ends
- Improve productivity and quality of product through monitoring
- Identify areas of improvement and establish innovative improvements or adjust existing work procedures and practices
- Responsible for continuously improving the based on the LEAN principles of reducing 7 types of Waste, improving Flow, Visual Management, and 5S
- Internal Monitoring Team
- Join the internal monitoring team
- Take action as soon as possible to fix the problem found by IMT
- Responsible for maintaining a safe, clean, and pleasant work environment
what we ask
- Must have good organizational skills with the ability to solve problems
- Good attitude, interpersonal, and leadership skills
- Computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Ability to work under pressure; highly self-motivated
- Exceptional interpersonal communication skills
- 2 years of experience in supervising a production line or working in other organizations.
