job summary
The Planning Manager will be at the forefront of a strategic initiative to overhaul and professionalize our planning functions, ensuring that our entire factory adapts to the updated planning methods. This role involves leading the planning team, implementing advanced planning systems, and collaborating with various departments to achieve seamless integration and execution of new planning standards.
what you will be doing
- Foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment within the planning department and lead the team through the professionalization process.
- Drive a comprehensive project to revamp and professionalize planning methods, processes, and systems. Ensure the successful implementation and adoption of new planning methods across the factory.
- Identify potential risks in the planning process and develop mitigation strategies to minimize their impact on production and delivery.
- Implement training programs for the planning team to enhance their skills and knowledge in new planning methods and systems.
- Work closely with the systems team to refine ERP methods, processes, and data structures. Align ERP with updated planning methods and manufacturing processes.
- Work closely with sales, customer account managers, and supply chain teams to determine and confirm delivery dates. Ensure that delivery commitments are realistic and aligned with production capabilities and capacity.
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives to maintain high standards of planning accuracy and efficiency. Ensure clear and effective communication of planning expectations and updates across all departments.
- Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for the planning team.
- Put procedures in place to standardize the planned versus actual performance analysis. And take corrective actions if there are discrepancies to ensure alignment and continuous improvement.
- Identify potential risks in the planning process and develop mitigation strategies to minimize their impact on production and delivery.
- Oversee the planning department’s budget and ensure cost-effective planning solutions.
what we ask
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Extensive experience in planning and logistics management, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Proven track record of leading large-scale planning transformations.
- Strong knowledge of S&OP, master planning, production planning, packing planning, and container loading planning.
- Expertise in ERP systems and a deep understanding of data structures and process alignment.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
