Job Summary
As a Product Development Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in professionalizing our Product Development Department. You will be part of our in-house Product Development team, collaborating directly with customers and relevant internal departments to create the best customer experience, while ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
What you will be doing
- Project Management, Customer Engagement & Onboarding:
Taking ownership of inquiries and projects, demonstrating your ability to manage them independently and efficiently. Your effective communication with customers will foster strong relationships and a clear understanding of their requirements. - Quotation and Costing Expertise:
Utilizing your keen eye for detail, you will manage quotation and costing requests with precision, delivering accurate cost estimates that consider materials, direct labor, equipment, and production processes. Your timely execution will be vital in meeting project timelines. - Seamless Collaboration:
As a pivotal team player, you will seamlessly communicate with relevant departments throughout the development process, ensuring a cohesive workflow and a smooth handover to the production team. - Information Coordination:
You will be the linchpin in providing accurate information to designers, planning, and production teams. Your support will empower the creation of detailed customer information and tech packs, elevating our offerings. - Material Sourcing and Evaluation:
Leveraging your expertise in materials, you will expertly source and evaluate materials, assessing their quality, sustainability, and suitability for our innovative product designs. - Timely Sample Management:
Your organized approach will ensure the timely delivery of samples while maintaining clear records. This essential function contributes to a seamless and efficient product development cycle.
What we ask
- >5 years of experience in product development
- Strong knowledge of materials, ensuring expertise in selecting materials that offer superior durability, functionality, and aesthetics for our products
- Experience in developing new products, ensuring innovation and efficiency
- Ability to evaluate nesting, fabric usable width, and scrap-saving techniques
- Ability to manage competing calendar deadlines effectively
- Proficient in English, both spoken and written
- A proactive team player with a continuous improvement mindset
- Strong sense of responsibility and accountability
- Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel and Word), knowledge of AI/Photoshop or PLM systems is a plus
