When visiting Angkor Wat, it’s important to dress appropriately. Please wear long pants that cover your knees and shirts that cover your shoulders. Skirts, short shorts, and tank tops are not allowed inside the temple grounds. If your clothing is too revealing, you may be turned away. EVA Air and China Airlines, flying through Taipei, as well as Japan Airlines through Tokyo, are excellent choices when traveling from the East. Another convenient option is to fly to Bangkok or Phnom Penh and catch a connecting flight to Siem Reap. While Siem Reap has a brand new airport, there are limited intercontinental flights available. However, it’s only a 45-minute flight from both Bangkok and Phnom Penh.
