HOEUN Hello is one of the youngest team members featured in our blog series. At just 23, he has already made his mark as Lean & Innovation Supervisor in the Industrial Engineering department. We caught up with Hello to learn more about his professional journey and what drives him – both at work and beyond.

CAN YOU TELL US A LITTLE BIT ABOUT YOUR JOB?
My job as the IE Lean & Innovation Supervisor is to lead lean manufacturing and innovation initiatives across the production floor. I design production layouts, improve processes, and reduce waste while ensuring quality standards. I also supervise the mechanic and innovation team, support automation, develop tools and templates, and work closely with all departments to drive continuous improvement in safety, quality, cost, delivery, and productivity. And sometimes I am also involved in system development projects.
WHAT DO YOU LIKE THE MOST ABOUT YOUR JOB?
What I like most about my job is the ability to drive meaningful improvements through innovation and lean principles. I enjoy solving complex challenges on the production floor, optimizing processes, and introducing automation that enhances efficiency and quality. Seeing the positive impact of these changes on productivity and teamwork is incredibly rewarding, and I also enjoy working with many people in a dynamic and collaborative environment.
HOW DID YOU GROW IN YOUR JOB AT PACTICS?
I grow in my job at PACTICS by continuously applying lean manufacturing principles and taking on challenging projects that improve efficiency and reduce waste. Starting as an Industrial Engineering Executive and advancing to a Lean & Innovation Supervisor has strengthened my leadership skills and technical expertise in machine planning, line layout design, and process optimization. I also grow by learning about new technologies and occasionally contributing to system development projects, which helps me stay updated and bring innovative solutions to the production floor. Collaborating with different departments and leading improvement initiatives keeps me learning and evolving every day.
DESCRIBE THE THINGS YOU HAVE LEARNED FROM YOUR WORK
From my work, I have learned the importance of leading with responsibility and learning through hands-on experience. I’ve gained valuable insights from people who have been in the role before me, which helps me improve and adapt. Most importantly, I’ve learned how to create opportunities for people to grow together and the value of strong communication in building teamwork and achieving goals.
WHAT MAKES YOU PROUD TO WORK FOR THIS COMPANY?
What makes me proud to work for this company is the opportunity to help people in my country find stable jobs and improve their livelihoods. I’m also proud that the products we create are made in Cambodia and meet international standards, showing the world the quality and capability of Cambodian manufacturing. Being part of this journey gives me a strong sense of purpose and pride.
HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE YOUR WORKING ENVIRONMENT?
I would describe my working environment as supportive and collaborative. We have a great team that works together toward a clear vision, and the company provides good space and resources to perform effectively. This positive environment makes it easier to communicate, share ideas, and grow together.
WHAT DO YOU LIKE TO DO OUTSIDE OF WORK?
Outside of work, I enjoy staying active by playing sports such as football, running, and volleyball. I also like relaxing activities like playing guitar, watching movies, and reading. These hobbies help me stay balanced and energized.
WHAT is something about yourself that we would never guess?
Something about me that people would never guess is that I love playing guitar and enjoy sports like football and volleyball. Many people see me as focused on engineering and lean processes, but outside of work, I’m very active and creative. These hobbies help me stay balanced and bring fresh energy to my work.
