Meet Mrs. Rose Orm, our Product Development Manager, who has been a part of the manufacturing industry since 2007.
Seeking more experiences in this field led her to Pactics, and after her first visit to the factory in 2021, she decided to leave the big city and start her new life in Siem Reap.
In my role as the Product Development Manager at Pactics, I am responsible for working closely with internal and external stakeholders.
CAN YOU TELL US A LITTLE BIT ABOUT YOUR JOB?
In my role as the Product Development Manager at Pactics, I am responsible for working closely with internal and external stakeholders. For instance, I frequently act as a customer coordinator, liaising with clients to provide them with cost estimates and ensuring that both the customers and the company are satisfied with the products and services we deliver.
Whenever our customers require products made from new materials, I initiate the process of communicating with and sourcing the necessary materials from our Chinese team.
A key part of my job involves monitoring and analyzing KPI metrics to ensure that the product development workflow is on track. I provide a clear summary of the action and follow-up based on the needs of the company.
Ultimately, our team’s success depends on our collective efforts, so assigning tasks to the right person and facilitating effective communication is crucial.
WHAT DO YOU LIKE THE MOST ABOUT YOUR JOB?
What excites me the most about my job is dealing with costing and communicating with customers. Witnessing the satisfaction of our customers with the prices is a rewarding feeling for both them and the company.
Working alongside other teams allows me to identify my flaws and areas that need improvement, leading to self-development.
How did you grow in your job at pactics?
As an assistant product development manager, I challenged myself to step out of my comfort zone and take on more responsibilities. My efforts paid off when Pactics promoted me to Product Development Manager after only nine months. This came as a surprise since I believed that they would choose a foreigner for the position.
Working alongside other teams allows me to identify my flaws and areas that need improvement, leading to self-development. Additionally, I enjoy challenging myself with new tasks, such as researching and reading books to fulfill the needs of customers that I may not be familiar with.
