Meet the team at Pactics – Than THA

He has been working at Pactics for more than eight years as a quiet but hardworking person.

We are incredibly proud to see such a significant change and development in him. To whom are we referring?

Meet Than Tha, the logistics lead from our supply chain department.

In addition, I actively communicate with our internal and external logistics partners to ensure a smooth process.

Can you tell us a little bit about your job?

As a logistics lead in the Supply Chain Department, I process the import and export of cargo and track incoming and outgoing containers to ensure they have reached their destination on time, based on the forwarder-provided schedule.

documents for the forwarder to do the clearance process with the customs to import raw materials and export finished goods. I also share them with related departments like the warehouse team, finance team, and order fulfillment. In addition, I actively communicate with our internal and external logistics partners to ensure a smooth process

What do you like the most about your job?

I like to challenge myself and find a better solution when our customers meet an issue.

The development of both soft and hard skills is important to me.

How did you grow in your job at Pactics?

I started as a security guard, after which I got promoted to security guard supervisor. After two years with Pactics, I began to work in the warehouse as an administrator, for about two years. Eventually, I got the opportunity to switch jobs again as I was selected as a logistics officer in the Supply Chain Department at the beginning of 2019. In 2021, I was promoted to logistics lead.

The development of both soft and hard skills is important to me. Reading books and searching for the things that we don’t know on YouTube is the way that makes me grow. Besides that, I always ask our Supply Chain Director about specific topics to improve my work effectively.

I have learned many different things from my work. Examples are Incoterms, processing the incoming and outgoing shipments with the correct commodity and HS code product to a customer.

Describe the things you have learned from your work

I have learned many different things from my work. Examples are Incoterms, processing the incoming and outgoing shipments with the correct commodity and HS code product to a customer.

Also, I now know how to deal with the different destination percentages of duty/VAT charges based on commodity/HS code products. And how to find the correct files (unit price & PO number or destination) from the ERP system when exporting shipments. I have learned how to process import and export shipments and provide semester or yearly import and export report data to related ministries in Cambodia.

What makes you proud to work for this company?

I’m proud when customers are happy with our shipments and we reach their required date.

How would you describe your working environment?

Here, everyone is friendly and helpful to each other. Pactics complies with government rules and is transparent to all employees.

What do you like to do outside of work?

Since I have a small baby, I prefer to stay indoors, helping my wife wash the clothes, spending time with my children, and reading books to them.
